Maintain Your Nissan's Warranty with Regular Servicing

Your new Nissan vehicle will come with a warranty, which offers protection for a variety of repairs and issues that may occur within a specific period or mileage limit. It's important to understand the terms of this warranty, as you'll need to commit to the proper maintenance of your vehicle if you want to ensure you're covered for problems that are out of your control.Β 

Β As part of this agreement between you and Nissan, you must have your vehicle serviced at appropriate intervals set out in the warranty documentation you'll receive. In years gone by, warranties stipulated a requirement to have your car serviced at a specific location, however these restrictions are now less common.Β 

Β Please note that if you have taken out a service plan from Nissan, it's important to check your documents to ensure you're taking your car to be serviced at a suitable garage.Β 

Β In most cases, you'll be able to take your vehicle to be serviced at any garage. We recommend checking that only Nissan-approved parts and lubricants will be used, should any work be required, and that your service book is correctly stamped.Β 

Β What is a Nissan service plan?Β 

Β A Nissan service plan is essentially a maintenance agreement, which covers your car's services for a specific period of time. This is something that may be offered when purchasing a Nissan vehicle and can be paid for via monthly instalments or as a one-off payment.Β 

Β As part of your service plan agreement, you will need to take your vehicle to an authorised Nissan garage. If you're looking for more flexibility, you are free to decide not to take out this type of plan and instead take your vehicle to a garage of your choosing.Β
