The Metzeler Sportec 01 Motorcycle Tyre has been developed to perform on wet roads with supersport level feeling. Precise and responsive steering for accurate line holding and a strong front end feel.

Patented distinctive supersport tread design and a new high contrast sidewall design that elevates the tyre’s character and helps it stand out from the crowd.

• DYNATREAD patented technology. At high speed, during braking or acceleration the tread grooves dynamically compress to increase the contact patch and leteral grip. At lower speeds the tread grooves provide optimal water evacuation and proper tread mobility that contribute to quick warm up and contact patch conformability.
• The unified tread design shared by front and rear tyres enhance braking behavior, stability and balanced performance. The versatile tread supports strong braking forces on the front and delivers high traction under load on the rear.
• The front tyre features a high silica dual compound with evenly distributed layout of 33% each across the centre and shoulders. The hypersport oriented dual compound delivers optimal grip across a wide range of temperatures and conditions, while its balanced distribution ensures consistent performance from upright riding to deep lean angles.
• The rear tyre features a high silica dual compound layout of 20% in the centre and 40% on each shoulder. The tread is more rigid and less hysteretic in the centre, giving improved stability at both low and high speeds. The tread is softer and more hysteretic on the shoulders, giving high grip when cornering and accelerating.
• Both front and rear tyres share a zero degree steel belt structure. A technological solution which ensures consistent deformation control across lean angles.
• The plies configuration varies between the front and rear tyres. Two rayon plies for the front, one for the rear. This tailored rayon layering provides the necessary stiffness and flexibility to handle the demands of modern supersport riding.
